Each Federal Reserve Bank gathers anecdotal information on current economic conditions in its District through reports from Bank and Branch directors and interviews with key businessmen, economists, market experts, and other sources. http://www.federalreserve.gov/fomc/BeigeBook/2005/ Federal Reserve System: The sites of the Federal Reserve Board and banks provide data, forecasts (FOMC forecasts), publications, working papers, and regulatory information.
